Dear Maker Community,
As our community navigates the potential effects and repercussions of the COVID-19 virus, our Maker Faire Lynchburg committee will be following CDC guidelines to ensure that we are not putting the health of makers or attendees at risk by hosting our event in a time when illness is easily spread.
That said, we have not made a decision yet about this year’s event. There is a strong likelihood the event will be postponed, but until we have a better idea of when it will be safe to host large public events we are not yet making that call.
We are also in close communication with our host, Randolph College, who has extended their spring break through March 20, canceling all events on campus next week. Randolph will announce by Thursday, March 19 whether students and activity will resume on campus and, potentially, when.
For now, you should still plan to participate in Maker Faire Lynchburg, though we may be pushing things later into the spring. If a new date is confirmed you will be the first to know.
Thank you for your patience and understanding! News and Announcements regarding COVID-19 and Maker Faire Lynchburg will be updated here.
Your Maker Faire Lynchburg Team
